Sunday Ride Report By SteveK

Drs. Joe, Jamshyd, and Rod, plus Rob and yours truly showed up.  After a late start we headed up to start the Hidden Meadow ride.  The trail was completely redone.  We found a newly cut trail which meanders to the top.  It cut out the steep technical drop and the step and nearly impossible single track to the top.  Score that as a victory for the hikers and Joe.  The beginning is all smooth double track to the fire road.

We then took the fire road to the single track connector to the Shah trail down to Lang Ranch.  It's called the Shah trail because anyone crazy- I mean brave enough to scream down the trail at 40Mph, launch over the bars and break his collar bone deserves a trail named after him.  So we took the Shah trail down to Lang Ranch and rode a minute on the street to begin our climb up Albertson Motorway.  We turned left and went up the steep hill.  At the juncture of Little Marbles and the other trail, there was some discussion, but we stuck with the called ride and took Little Marbles to Albertson and climbed to Palo Comado.  We then played on the single track and took the trail up to the top of Dead Cow and down we went.  We took the single track, to the left,  near the bottom of Dead Cow to the street.  Joe and I went back to the cars and Rob, Jamshyd and Rod took some more dirt to Kanan and went back to their cars.  Have a good week!

Rob took some pictures which he may share later.

Keep Palm Springs in mind for March.
