New trail to Indian Wells, Johnson's to Devil Canyon March 9, 2008

We decided to try a dirt trail to Indian Wells (and found some new trails in the process) , check out the Topo map and Google Earth fly through and see if you can figure out what we did. We then went up Johnson's to the Rocky Peak Fire Road. All of the above expect me of course never did the Devil :) and wanted to see it. I told Mitch it might be a LITTLE WET (boy was I wrong) and we decided to take the plunge. It was beautiful until we got to the RIVER, then we all got wet and rode in the river. Mitch did an endo into the water and broke a couple of spokes on his new shiny bike. But physically he was OK, although I think he will never speak to me again :). We then found the secret trail into Indian Wells and took the road back to our cars. Overall it was a great and challenging and wet ride of about 4 hours, 15 miles and 2800 feet of elevation gain.
