Portraits in Chesebro
Labor Day
09-04-06

Not much to report.  Rod, Joe, Dean, Jamshyd and Robco started up the main fireroad of Chesebro Canyon on a warm Monday Labor Day Holiday.  We took the right hand fork to climb the Baleen Wall before it got even hotter.  We eventually got to Shepard's Flat, continuing on to the overlook of Palo Comado Canyon.  Rumors were circulating in the warm end of summer air that there was a second renegade group of RCYers who were on their own ride in the area.  Mitch, DavidR, Reuben, Mario and perhaps others were reputed to be riding somewhere in the vicinity.

The only photos I am posting of monday's ride are portraits of the group of 5.  But the portraits may look a little strange....I think I may have smeared some bicycle grease on my camera lens?#@#? ;o)

Joe decided to head back to the cars via Palo Comado Fireroad while the rest of us wanted the thrill of going back on the singletrack to Shepard's Flat and then down Sulfur Springs Trail.  A little food, drink, and conversation followed for four of us at the Corner Bakery where we nosed around and charmed the folks there with our combined beauty.

So silly, so sorry,
